| My how time flies. Years have passed since my last blog. Crazy. Nothing has really changed all that much. I have better job and live in a nicer place. This one actually has a studio, so I can create a bit of ART. I guess some things don't change. | | |
| Hey there....
After nearly three years of hanging out, I'm back. Not too much going on. Just your typical weekend. Hanging around waiting for the winter that never comes.
Been doing a lot of traveling since my last entry. Not "big time traveling", just comfortable traveling. I went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee about 6 times since I last blogged.
Also, I went to Holden Beach, North Carolina. Extremely good time. It had been over 20 years since I was last in the Atlantic Ocean. Thought it was about time to return. In May, I will be back in a house I rented on the beach for a week of no responsibilities. Hot sun and good times. I definitely need the relaxation......
| I have been sick. Nothing like illness to drag you down.
Today is the seventh day. My lungs still feel heavy with infection. Over all, I do feel markedly better.
It's only been five months since my last entry. I guess I was lazy. I lacked motivation. Hopefully, I will actually start utilizing this a bit more. Summer apporaches, and exciting and adventurous things are afoot. They have to be...
| What is ART? Is it something that drives a man to insanity? Is it merely a postcard from just over the next hill?
Personally, ART is the expression of a point in time. A depiction of somewhere I once was and never will be again. I specific life-shaping moment that effected me forever, and made me the man I am right now, and could never be if things were different.
Painting is very personal to me, even if I am recording the mundane and banal day to day moments that are excedingly trivial and often pointless. They aren't to me. They hold the potential to embody my very essence.
Tonight, I AM ART.

| Hi there...been into crazy self-portraits. In actuality, it should be disturbing self-portraits.
Self-portraits are one of the most common of all subject matters. Many a famous artist have made a living by painting self-portraits.
Mine are disturbing. They provide a glimpse into the mind of a madman.
It is refreshing to paint in the old style again. Back in the college days, I used to really bust out the self-portraits. If it is good enough for Vincent and Leonardo, then it is good enough for the woodman.
